Custom Designed and Milled Diamond (or Lattice) 3D Accent Wall [Pickering, ON]
One of a kind transformation and a TF Custom Carpentry Signature build, this bespoke masterpiece was commissioned by a passionate interior design enthusiast and "solved" with a simple computer script I wrote to iterate over thousands of possible combinations of material widths, and diamond height and width to find the layouts that would meet my requirements(diamonds terminate perfectly at wall, ceiling, and baseboard without interfering with outlet) and the client's requirements(fits what was envisioned), it spit out 3 layouts, and we went with this one.

Bespoke Built In Library/Console Hybrid - Regent Park/Cabbagetown South
It started with a site visit and conversation with the client, we were able to get to work on some concept art for the built in shelving design of this client's dreams. For over 20 years they envisioned this and we were able to deliver!
Creative Solution to a challenging requested combination of intended usage requirements and preferred aesthetic
These shelves look thin, but are strong enough to hold all those books with zero sagging through a few neat tricks. One that's particularily unique is the use of long hardwood dowels, or (in the case of one seam, it's 8" GRK structural screws instead) flowing unseen through vertical members to link the horizontal members through the vertical supports. This dowel use was a little experimental in this application, but it worked even better than expected so that technique is staying in the repertoire!

Can you spot the hidden door to the hidden compartment? We can't confirm or deny your guess anyway. This isn't quite as elaborate as other James Bond features we've hidden in built-in's but it's the only one we have permission to share.
Bundling the handyman and paint work made for an easy path to transform a bare wall into their exact dream with one call.
We took care of paint, cable routing, wall mounting the new TV, including planning and sourcing all materials, neatly bundled into the original quote and plan.
Overall we loved this project, and share the client's love of the finished work.
